Google will be sending the oreo to all android devices that have the free storage space to accommodate that software! But if you have a device with less than 16 gigabytes of storage you should go to settings and turn off your auto-update settings!
The marshmellow (7.0) and the oreo (8.0)
Software takes a lot of storage space, and it will overload the storage of older model android phones.
Before you allow it to be installed, you should look it up on the Internet to see how much available storage it will use!
Or it could destroy your phone!

Yes you can install it from the internet.
But make sure it is compatible for your device!
