According to SamMobile, the South Koreans are launching the Galaxy S23 FE at the end of 2023. The news outlet’s forecast is supported by a frequent tipster on Twitter, who also claimed a similar timeframe, although it did not provide an exact date.

A faster processor and bigger camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE is tipped to arrive with significant improvements this time around. The source believes it will be powered by an Exynos 2200 chipset that is similar to the one that powers last year’s Galaxy S22 flagship series. However, there is a possibility that the company could introduce an overclocked version and refer to it using a different model name. The leak also points to storage configurations of 128 GB and 256 GB mated to 8 GB of RAM.
Apart from the chipset, Samsung will be installing an enhanced vapor chamber cooling in the next-gen FE or “Fan Edition” as it did with the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra which we reviewed. In addition, the main camera is said to be upgraded by replacing the old 12MP sensor with a newer 50MP sensor. In other words, we hold out hope that this is the same sensor used in the more expensive Galaxy flagships.
What’s unchanged from the predecessor is the same 6.4-inch display size albeit with a higher brightness level and tougher glass protection. The battery capacity remains the same at 4,500 mAh while it is unclear whether the 25W charging speed would receive a substantial increase.
There were no details regarding the price, but the Galaxy S23 FE should retail for around $699 or lower, filling the gap between the mid-range and flagship offerings of the company. This strategy would be in line with whispers of Samsung canning the upper mid-range Galaxy A74 due to the unfavorable demand of the Galaxy A73.
