Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our
little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.
Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet.
But what we do know is:
The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.
What now?
Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside
digital – why not stop by!
Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no
server problems there – promised.
Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧
NewsTabletPixel 8a Could Debut Ahead of Google’s I/O
The Pixel 8a continues to experience leaks ahead of Google’s I/O developers conference next week. While it was believed the mid-range Android phone will be unveiled at the same event, a new rumor suggests it will be announced sooner than expected.

Google Pixel 8a launch date and availability
Based on information obtained by French outlet Deal Labs, Google plans to debut the Pixel 8a on May 7, which would be a week earlier than the supposed conference. It added that pre-orders could immediately follow with the actual sale of the device happening on May 14.
If this were to materialize, it could signal a shift in Google’s strategy that has been in place in recent years. As a reference point, the Pixel 7a (review) was announced and released on the same day as last year’s developers conference.
Google Pixel 8a global prices
Along with the rumored launch date of the Pixel 8a, the same source reiterated a price increase for the handset in Europe. Basically, the Pixel 8a in its base variant with 128 GB storage will retail for €549 (~$590) while the 256 GB option in black will cost €609 (~$654) a pop. Bear in mind prices in other countries will most likely vary.
In a separate report, SmartPrix mentioned the Pixel 8a will not see a price change in the USA. It revealed the mid-ranger will be priced from $499 in the USA, which remains unchanged from the Pixel 7a. In addition, the new 256 GB storage configuration variant is touted to cost $559.
As for its specifications and features, leaks indicate the Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch OLED display, similar to its predecessor, albeit with a cranked-up refresh rate all the way to 120 Hz for smoother animation. Based on official-looking renders, it shares a rounder form factor with a revamped camera visor as the Pixel 8 (review).
Internally, the device is fitted with a custom Tensor G3 chipset paired with 8 GB RAM. The battery is said to be slightly larger at 4,500 mAh while retaining the 18 watts wired and 7.5 watts wireless charging speeds. Furthermore, the mid-range camera phone is touted to carry the same cameras from last year, headlined by a primary 64 MP shooter.
