500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Nanoleaf Canvas review: creative lighting at a cost
Nanoleaf Canvas smart lighting is a playful and creative home lighting system that can deliver unique results. No other smart lighting system on the market offers this level of personalization. But all of this comes at a cost.

Hands-on with Ford’s co-pilot: can tech take the stress out of driving?
Cars are getting smarter, more connected, and more feature rich. The modern Infotainment system has to be able to do more than navigate you to your destination and change the radio station.

Roborock S6 review: an almost perfect flatmate
My first incursion into smart home couldn’t have had a better protagonist. The Roborock S6 vacuum robot has been a joy for a beginner like me. It’s easy to use and effective. The smart vacuum cleaner from the company that was born thanks to Xiaomi (which is one of its investors) has been a good companion, although it has given me some displeasure. Or rather, my dog.

LG G8 ThinQ review: a solid all-rounder which fails to dazzle
LG G8 ThinQ was presented at Mobile World Congress 2019 with an impressive technical data sheet, a Crystal Sound OLED display which acts as a speaker, a 3D ToF sensor and a new way of interacting through gestures called Air Motion. Will it be enough to convince users and outperform the competition?

Xiaomi Mi 9: will you be mine?
The MWC in Barcelona served as the stage for the triumphant entry of Xiaomi’s latest star. The Mi 9 attempts to stand up to the competition with a package worthy of admiration. And not only for having the latest technology, as you would expect from any flagship these days, but for having a price tag that is almost scandalous. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is a worthy opponent in today’s high-end market. What’s more, it could even occupy one of the top places on the podium. I’ll tell you why in this full review.

Can an affordable HD projector replace my TV?
It’s a question I have been pondering for a while. I like the idea of ditching my TV and switching to a smaller, more discreet option. But can a home projector handle the job without me having to spend a fortune? Let’s find out.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE review: low on price, big on features
Xiaomi repeats the strategy it has already implemented with the Mi 8 with the launch of this Mi 9 SE. It’s a reduced version of the Mi 9 in all respects. The more compact size and reduced features, while quite noticeable, are not so deal-breaking. Is this Mi 9 ‘special edition’ worth it?

Samsung Galaxy A50 review: a convincing mid-ranger with room for improvement
After its Galaxy S10 flagships, Samsung has unveiled its new mid-range phones, the Galaxy A50 and A30. For the occasion, the South Korean manufacturer decided to modify its A range by introducing new nomenclature and premium features. So the real question is whether the Galaxy A50 is more on the high or low side of the mid-range?

Huawei P30 Lite hands-on: it looks the part
The P30 series is making waves in the smartphone world, especially the P30 Pro with its impressive camera. But a Huawei flagship can also be cheaper, even much cheaper, in the form of the Huawei P30 Lite. We took a close look at this in our hands-on review.
