500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

LG V50 ThinQ hands-on: missing something, and not a just second screen
No, LG did not show up at the Mobile World Congress with a folding smartphone. It is still too early for such a device. However, the South Korean manufacturer has announced the V50 ThinQ, a 5G smartphone that looks to the future and tries in some way to challenge the foldable stars of this year’s MWC.

Take a look at the AGM X3: the outdoor smartphone with a Snapdragon 845
The market for rugged smartphones is booming. To meet the growing demands of users, several smartphone manufacturers like Caterpillar, Land Rover and Crosscall are offering devices that are specialized for this niche market. AGM, a Chinese manufacturer, is another brand targeting this field by offering a “robust” smartphone. What makes it so special? It’s one of the few on the market to offer high-end specs and a Snapdragon 845 processor. We got the chance to try it and here are our first impressions. Don’t underestimate the new Nokia: it means business IP68 certification? IP67? What does it all mean?

Hands-on with the pleasantly affordable Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)
Samsung, once again, is trying to start a trend with the new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) despite a steadily declining demand for tablets. With small external changes, fresh hardware and a new feature with potential, the new Galaxy Tab A can’t save the entire tablet market, but it can find a place in many households.

Nokia 8.1 Review: a classy mid-range operator
Following in the footsteps of the Nokia 7.1, HMD Global has released a successor to shake up the mid-range market. The Nokia 8.1 is just that. This is not, however, a true successor to last year’s flagship, the Nokia 8. Are you still with me?

Every year, hundreds of users await the renewal of the Moto G line, originally launched in 2013, which has now reached its seventh generation. The Moto G7 Power is the novelty of the year from Motorola, besides being the second variant of this line after the most basic model, the Moto G7’s big selling point is its incredibly large battery with fast charging.

SMARTWATCH & TRACKERS
Honor Band 4 review: who needs a Fitbit?
Smart bands or fitness trackers, call them what you want, are increasingly popular among fitness enthusiasts, both young and old. Their strong point is a simpler and more discreet design compared to smartwatches, but also a much lower price. I tried the Band 4 from Honor and, I have to admit that finding something better than this on the market is not easy.

Mobvoi Ticwatch E2 review: sometimes less is more
The new Ticwatch E2 poses a question that keeps coming back to life: is a bird in the hand is really worth two in the bush? There are beautiful smartwatches, some with more features, and some that are probably also more technically modern – but the Ticwatch E2 is cheap, functional and does what it says on the tin.
