500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Google Chromecast 2 review: does the new Chromecast deliver?
The original Chromecast is a nifty little device that let you wirelessly ‘cast’ what’s on the screen of your smartphone, tablet or laptop to your monitor or TV. You simply connect the HDMI dongle to your TV and pair it with your portable device via a Wi-Fi connection. It has been a roaring success, and now, two years later we have a sequel, the Chromecast 2. Does the new generation provide a credible upgrade? Find out in our Chromecast 2 review.   Best Chromecast apps Chromecast tips and tricks

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition review: pure magic
The Moto X Pure Edition is the third generation of the acclaimed Moto X series, which was launched in 2013. The original Moto X was a compact device with modest specifications; this new edition is impressive in terms of both specs and design. The Moto X Pure Edition (known as the Moto X Style outside of the US) maintains the series’ features while adding some exciting new functionality. But just how good is Motorola’s most premium smartphone? Find out in our Moto X Pure Edition review. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 review [hands on] Motorola Moto X Play review

Marshall London review [hands on]: when high-end specs don’t matter
The Marshall London may not boast high-end specs, but even when you put aside the hype surrounding its moniker, it’s still a great smartphone. It oozes attitude and style, has reasonable hardware, and has some interesting audio-focused features. It still comes at a high though – does this show us that the value of a phone is not always found in the performance it delivers? I had the chance to test the Marshall London during IFA 2015 and this preliminary review will try to answer that question, as well as whether you can forgoe premium specs in exchange for clever design. Asus ZenWatch 2 review [hands on]: the best value smartwatch yet?
The Asus ZenWatch 2 emerged within an avalanche of wearables that were unveiled at IFA 2015. Huawei, Motorola, Samsung, and even Lenovo all presented their new smartwatches, and Asus did the same, but with one monster difference: the price. The ZenWatch 2 hasn’t changed much from the previous model, but it sure delivers on value. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ review: cutting edge
To state the obvious: the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge. That means one of the best Android phones of 2015 just got a bigger and better variant. If you’re a fan of larger-screened smartphones, and have been wanting to see that curved screen on a bigger device, this Galaxy S6 Edge Plus review is for you. Samsung Galaxy S5 review: still good, still ugly
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is more than a year old now. In our original review, we commended its display, fantastic battery life and high-end camera. We didn’t think it improved much on the Galaxy S4 though – particularly not with its design, or lack thereof, with Samsung opting for that disappointingly dimpled plastic chassis. A year on, and with a lower price, is it still a worthy purchase? Read our updated Samsung Galaxy S5 review to find out. Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Galaxy S5 comparison: is newer better? Google Nexus 6 review: still the biggest, but is it the best?
Ever since the Galaxy Nexus appeared on the scene, Nexus phones have been associated with exceptional value for money, and flagship quality. The Nexus 6 bucked that trend slightly, with a lofty price and a 6-inch screen that looks beautiful, but is too big for many peoples’ hands. Our initial skepticism about the Nexus 6 eventually faded though, and we gave it a four-star review when it was released. A number of months later, and with fierce competition in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and LG G4, does it still stand strong among flagship smartphones?
