500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

One year with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro: still a top smartphone
Just under a year ago (October 16, 2018, to be precise), Huawei unveiled the Mate 20 Pro, so I’ve been using this smartphone for almost a year. A long enough time to take stock of what was considered one of the best smartphones when it was released. Is it still holding up well against the competition in 2019? Are there any technical problems? Here’s everything I liked and disliked about the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 review: all play and no work
The latest tablet from Samsung is amazingly thin, lightweight, and looks like a premium product. But with Android tablets forever losing the battle against the iPad, has Samsung done enough to convince consumers that this is better for consuming content and productivity than what Apple offers? Let’s find out.

Xiaomi Mi A3 review: more capable than you might think
The Xiaomi Mi A3 comes on the market at a list price of £185 in the UK. It’s a device that immediately fascinates for its design but that raises some questions when you look at the display that, on paper, offers a resolution limited to only HD+. Can it really be considered a limit? The answer in our review!

Huami Amazfit GTS review: you can clone design, but not software
At an event at the IFA 2019 in Berlin, Huami launched its new smartwatch: the Amazfit GTS. It looks a lot like the Apple Watch Series 4, but there is some cool tech in here for the price. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of weeks. Here is my full review.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 review: an enchanting smartphone for phablet fans
I haven’t used a Samsung Galaxy Note in a while. The reason? The oversized dimensions and I have never felt the need for a feature like the S-Pen. The Note 10, however, with its more compact body than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, intrigued me.

Withings Move ECG review: doing an ECG has never been easier
The connected health market is booming. Wearables and other health-focused connected products are multiplying, and CES 2019 is proof of this. The French brand, Withings, took the opportunity to unveil the very first analog watch capable of recording an electrocardiogram. Apple opened the door to this with its Apple Watch Series 4, but Withings (ex-Nokia) continues and democratizes the concept. Now available in stores, we were able to try it for several weeks and here is our full review.

Asus ChromeBook Flip C434 review: good laptop, bad tablet
Chromebooks are becoming more and more popular and their success can be explained by several factors: price, battery life, and performance. Asus is not a novice manufacturer in this field and expects to have its share of the cake. It is now selling its new model, originally announced at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. The top-of-the-range Chromebook Flip C434 offers a 360-degree hinge that allows you to use the computer as a tablet. But has the Taiwanese manufacturer got it right? How does the Flip C434 perform on a daily basis? Find out in our full review!
