500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Motorola G8 Plus review: more Moto for the mid-range
The Motorola G-series used to be a go-to for those looking for a quality Android on a budget. Is that still the case? The mid-range market is flooded at the moment, not least by devices from Motorola itself. So where does the G8 Plus sit among the Motorola One range? Here’s our full review.

Amazon Echo Studio review: modular hi-fi sound with Alexa
Amazon’s Echo family grows and grows. The newest member is the Echo Studio, which at first glance looks like an Amazon interpretation of Apple’s HomePod. But the Echo Studio is more than just an Apple HomePod in an Amazon dress. Much more, it is also a loudspeaker to advance Amazon’s content platforms like Amazon Music and Prime Video.

Realme 5 Pro review: the best €200 smartphone you can buy
Only a few months after the excellent Realme 3 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer is back with its successor named the Realme 5 Pro (in Chinese the number four is homophonous to the word “death”, and is thus deemed unlucky). After several weeks with the phone, it’s time for my full review. Once again, the young brand strikes hard by erasing the main flaws of its predecessor.

Honor 9X tested: a Huawei P Smart Z in sheep’s clothing
Honor has launched the 9X, a relatively inexpensive smartphone that doesn’t promise a performance miracle but comes with Google services. This should not have to be mentioned in itself, but due to the sanctions against its parent company Huawei, it is a considerable win for Honor. How did Huawei do it and what how does the smartphone perform? Here’s our full review.

Like Google with its Nest products, Amazon has updated its range of Echo smart speakers. Without being radically different, the 2019 versions of the Echo and Echo Dot benefit from some interesting new features. What do they offer compared to previous generations? The answer is in our full review.

Google Pixel 4 review: great phone, when it has battery
Google has launched its fourth generation of Pixel smartphones, and much has been written about the Pixel 4 XL. I’ve been using the smaller of the two new Google flagships to see if it can stand up to the competition. In a world where compact smartphones are a dying breed, does this represent the best choice for Android fans?
