500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Moto E review: a cheap phone with a great pure Android experience
The Moto E is Motorola’s latest low-end smartphone with a fantastic price, while still coming with the latest version of KitKat. It has what it takes to bring down the feature phones concept, as it comes with a microSD slot to expand the 4GB of internal storage up to 32 GB. This is just the tip of the iceberg, so we’ve explored the Motorola smartphone in a more in depth review.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 review: super thin and dazzling
Samsung presented a brand new flagship tablet in June 2014, the Galaxy Tab S, which comes in two sizes of 10.5 or 8.4 inches. In comparison to previous tablets by Samsung, the Tab S is thinner and lighter, and thanks to its dazzling Super AMOLED display, it lands itself in the category of high end tablets. Our test of the Galaxy Tab S will show whether it lives up to Samsung’s high praises.

Samsung TouchWiz vs. Stock Android: which is better?
It’s been awhile since we’ve taken a look between different types of Android and quite a bit has changed. We’ve seen the rise of Android 4.4 KitKat on the Google side of things that brings a bunch of technical changes and some visual ones too. As well, manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC, and Sony have been busy optimizing their own customized ROMs to the newest versions of Android. Today, we’ll take a look at stock Android and compare it to Samsung’s Touchwiz. Ultimate Android UI comparison: 6 major systems compared

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 review: the best screen ever?
While the 8.4-inch display diagonal of the Tab Pro may seem a little exotic at first, compared to many other super-portable 7- or expansive 10-inch tablets on the market, it does have some advantages. The 16:10 aspect ratio makes it possible to significantly improve the viewing possibilities without sacrificing mobility. The high resolution screen of the Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro is, on paper, the perfect competitor for the Apple iPad Mini Retina. Here’s our test. Best Android tablets of 2015

HTC One M8 camera test: this is how good it really is
One of the highlights of the HTC One M8 is the duo camera. We’ve written a lot about the two camera lenses found on the back side as well as its functions, but whether it can prove itself to be more than just a marketing stunt is the question that interests us here. Today we tested to see how well the post-processing works, what other things the HTC One camera can do, what is only a gimmick and what we think is actually of some use.

Blackphone: hands-on review and video [Update]
With the NSA and other news of spying circling the internet, it’s making more of us give security and the protection of our personal data a second and deeper thought. It’s with this matter in the forefront that Silent Circle came up with an innovative and clever plan to counter this rising concern: the Blackphone, one of the most interesting smartphones presented at the MWC this year.
