The Galaxy Watch 8 is arguably the best smartwatch for Samsung users. It was launched in July this year along with the refreshed Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Watch Ultra. For the standard model, it is more than just an update as it ships with a new design.
This ditches the circular form in favor of a squarish shape, which stands out more and gives a sleeker overall profile. It is thinner for added comfort, even when worn during sleep or exercise. It is also a durable timepiece, featuring a reinforced aluminum chassis, MIL-STD-810H rating, and waterproofing.
The new Galaxy Watch has a slightly wider display, with a 1.34-inch AMOLED on the smaller case. It is notably brighter than before, peaking at 3,000 nits. The slightly larger battery should also help extend its running time.
Samsung has added a new suite of health and fitness tracking tools through One UI 8 Watch. There is advanced sleep coaching and a running coach powered by AI. These provide extensive insights into your rest and recovery. There is also an antioxidant index that measures carotenoid levels through your skin, while a new vascular load feature checks your heart to determine stress levels.
