500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Asus Zenfone 8 review: Going against the grain
Time to throw down the gauntlet! When the Asus Zenfone 8 was launched on Wednesday, May 12, at an expected retail price of $599, the Taiwanese company wants to deliver a more measured, more all-encompassing flagship device that goes against the grain of extreme high-end flagship models from the likes of Samsung or Oppo, arriving in a compact form factor like the iPhone 12 Mini that will also carry its fair share of compromises.

Samsung Galaxy A72 review: the new mid-range king?
The Galaxy A72 tops the trio of Galaxy A mid-range smartphones that were released in 2021. This smartphone carries an amalgamation of the best features in this range, although it disappoints in terms of display capability and fast charging. Still, it remains an excellent option for those who want a smartphone that will last them for a few years before making a new purchase. Stay tuned with this review to find out more!

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra review: The ultimate Android flagship?
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is supposed to be the ultimate Android flagship, surpassing even the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. But behind all the hype, Super Saiyan names, and an exorbitant price tag, can Xiaomi’s “top of the line” smartphone really be considered as the ultimate indulgence? The answer lies in my full review for NextPit.

Oppo A74 hands-on: A replacement for the popular A72?
Oppo touted the Oppo A72 as their most popular smartphone in 2020, which is why the Oppo A74’s release for 2021 is all the more exciting. We received the new mid-range smartphone before the official announcement, and are more than happy to dive into a hands-on.

Apple AirTag review: What the new Apple trackers are capable of
Apple surely took its time when it comes to rolling out its new AirTag tracker. For about two years now, rumors have been flying around that Cupertino company might be working on a product that can help you locate your keys, wallet, and other small items through an iOS-powered device. The time has finally arrived, and we have reviewed the Apple AirTags so that you can make a better decision on whether these are for you or not. What is the Apple AirTag capable of, what kind of range does it have, where can you buy them, how much do the AirTags cost, and how do you change the battery? All these questions are answered in the review.

Yeedi 2 Hybrid review: Is this €300 robot vacuum any good?
The Yeedi 2 Hybrid costs just €300 on Amazon! At this price point, this relatively unknown company has dipped its toes in the budget robot vacuum market. However, is picking up this smart home device worth the effort, considering how it does not even come with any kind of integrated laser navigation system? In this review, I allowed the Yeedi 2 Hybrid to make its way through my flat, wiping down whatever dirt it detects.

TABLET
Motorola Moto G30 review: A dependable mid-range smartphone
The Motorola Moto G30 boasts of excellent battery life and gets a 90Hz display – both of which can make a marked difference in your user experience if you have been living with a 60Hz display all this while. The phone also has a camera that won’t let you down. However, all things said, spending time with the Moto G30 made me realize that it does the ordinary stuff really well, but it simply lacks that “wow” factor. You know, the one that will help it stand out from the crowd.

Honor Band 6 review: Cool design, but it has one major flaw
The Honor Band 6 is the farewell kiss that Huawei and Honor gave each other shortly before both companies parted ways. This fitness tracker has been available globally since early April, where it has seen a redesign just like the Huawei Band 6. However, there is an important feature that was left out to keep the price down. Does that blip make a huge difference in this review?

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G review: Solid mid-range option for the long term
The Galaxy A51 was one of Samsung’s most successful smartphones ever released, offering a good price-performance ratio. This idea is supposedly improved upon further with the release of the Galaxy A52 5G, while offering a glimpse into what a future-proof handset would look like. NextPit reviewed this smartphone that promises to come with up to four years of security updates. Find out what we think below.

Nubia RedMagic 6 impressions: A very good gaming smartphone, but that’s it
Nubia’s RedMagic 6 smartphone is a mobile gaming device that carries all the bells and whistles which will certainly entice mobile gamers with buzzwords such as a 165 Hz refresh rate for its AMOLED display with a €599 price tag. However, can this ZTE offshoot go toe-to-toe against market leaders like the Asus ROG Phone 5?
