500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Sony Xperia 5 III review: Expensive purchase that only fans will buy
First announced on April 14 and still unavailable in many different countries worldwide, the Sony Xperia 5 III is the compact alternative to Sony’s latest flagship, the Xperia 1 III. I reviewed this smartphone which places a heavy emphasis on multimedia and photography to tell you whether the $999 price tag is worth the entry price or not.

HEADPHONES
OnePlus Buds Pro review: Highly recommended earbuds
The OnePlus Buds Pro are a real surprise. They offer a solid package and are definitely one of the better in-ear Bluetooth earbuds that we have reviewed to date. We attribute this to the good price-performance ratio, great sound quality, and selected features found in normally more premium models. In this NextPit review, Ben rarely removed the earbuds from his ears for the entire week.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro review: Comeback of the year!
Motorola is back in business! After the manufacturer received a lot of criticism for devices such as the Moto G30, the Edge 20 Pro surprises with a flagship candidate in this review. Not only is the performance and build quality amazing, but tiny details like the vibration motor and triple camera are also great. In addition, there is a desktop mode known as “Ready For” that should prove itself to be a worthy challenger to Samsung Dex.

E-BIKES
Brompton Electric review: E-folding bike with a touch of F1!
The Brompton Electric is a folding e-bike that fits easily into your trunk and weighs less than 20 kg – battery included!. A real Formula 1 legend provided enough juice in the electric motor to get it going as well. In this NextPit review, I pulled away not only from bicycles, but also from cars and motorcycles at the traffic lights. Talk about an ego boost! You can find out just how long I was able to keep my nose in front of his detailed review.

Threema & Signal compared: Safe and secure!
When we talk about secure instant messengers, there’s one particular name that you simply cannot avoid: Threema! The European instant messenger is secure and yet remains an underdog in terms of its user base. We decided to pit this highly praised, secure instant messenger into the NextPit arena today alongside Signal, where the latter is an instant messenger that is also touted to deliver a high level of security.

My Time at Portia review: Our August Android/iOS game of the month
My Time at Portia happened to pick up the gong for mobile game of the month in August after I went through a slew of titles before declaring a clear winner. Originally released on the console and PC, My Time at Portia is also now available on both Android and iOS platforms for $7.99. This is one game that draws heavily from life simulation games such as Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley.
