500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Samsung Galaxy S8 Premium wireless charger: how it will change your life
Samsung gave up on increasing the battery power on the Galaxy S8 in order to improve the design of the device. However, it did come up with some solutions to prolong the use time of the S8, and one of these features is support for wireless charging. Last week, I had the chance to test Samsung’s new Premium Wireless charger with the Galaxy S8, and I must say, it was a massive boost in terms of the amount of time I was able to use the device. Xiaomi Mi 6 review: definitely worth importing
The imported Xiaomi Mi 6 turns out to be a virtual no-brainer when it comes to recommending it for purchase and, at the same time, it’s a good bargain. It’s one of the first devices to have Snapdragon 835 – but that’s not the only reason why it’s such an unbelievably powerful device. In this review, we’ll show you some of the cool things this Xiaomi has done with this phone. The best Chinese smartphones you should know about Xiaomi MI 5 review: the real MiCoy

One Plus 5 review: ultimately uncompromising
Already in our preliminary review we were able to gather some good experiences with the OnePlus 5. Two weeks and several patches later, our review of the strongest OnePlus 5 variant with 128 GB of memory and 8 GB of RAM goes to the next round. The software has been updated and optimized regarding some critical points, so we take a second look at the device with the potential to be the smartphone of the year.

Honor 9 review: A more attractive and affordable P10
Ten months after the presentation of the Honor 8, Honor is back with its successor. The Honor 9 was revealed in China on June 12, and now it has made its international debut at a launch event in Berlin. With a striking design, hardware inherited from the Huawei P10 and a launch price of around £380 (about $495), does the Honor 9 offer the best price to quality ratio on the market? 7 days with the Nokia 3310: is it possible to live without a smartphone?
Small, tough and bearing Nokia’s signature. With the release of the new 3310, memories came flooding back, for former Nokia 3310 owners. I’m one of them and, after spending hours writing text messages using buttons on a physical keyboard and playing Snake, I couldn’t resist the temptation of pocketing one of the new versions launched by HMD at the MWC 2017. So what’s it like to use a phone like this in 2017? Are there any reasons to buy the Nokia 3310? Why are we so excited about the idea of an Android Nokia?

100 days with the LG G6: exceeding expectations
A lot of discussion has taken place since the presentation and the release of the LG G6. In the beginning, the device was criticized for having ‘outdated’ components and I was one of the critics. At first, I was a little skeptical, but with time, the device exceeded almost all the expectations that I had for the LG G6. Here are my good and bad impressions after using the LG G6 for 100 days. Review of the Samsung Gear VR with controller: finally something worth getting excited about
Samsung’s new VR headset, the Samsung Gear VR, comes with its own controller. Does this make the platform more interesting now? Is it even worth investing in VR at this point? It seems some technical aspects need a bit of work, but the basic stuff already looks really good. Best VR headsets for Android: step into another world Best VR games

IKEA’s smart light bulbs are neither that smart nor cheap
IKEA TRÅDFRI is the Swedish company’s range of affordable smart lighting made available for our smart home. It’s a tempting offer, and it’s obvious that LED light bulbs use less energy and last longer than traditional light bulbs. However, as is often the case, if something looks too good to be true, it usually is. So let’s see if the smart light bulbs from IKEA are really worth it.
