500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

HTC U11+: Great photo quality to compete with software giants
Even without a dual camera, the HTC U11+ attempts to outperform the image quality of its biggest rivals: Apple and Samsung. But there is still hope for HTC despite the competition. The U11+ uses the same image sensor as in the Pixel 2 smartphones, and in addition, HTC list “Ultrapixel 3”, “Ultraspeed Autofocus” and “HDR Boost” on the specifications, but what do these terms actually mean?  HTC U11+ review: Insider’s phone gets an upgrade HTC U11 Life review: basically a low-cost Pixel 2

Honor 9 Lite hands-on review: complete package, competitive price
The Honor 9 Lite is a new smartphone with a combination of affordable price, stylish design and just packed with features to catch the eye of young customers. You’d be hard-pressed to find not only one, but two dual cameras available on a budget handset in the same price range. Let’s see what the Honor 9 Lite can do. 100 days with the Pixel 2 XL: so flawless it’s boring
The Google Pixel 2 XL has been introduced to the entire world and was certainly not greeted with a warm embrace by the international press. One thing that I’m sure of, however, is that anyone who has had the pleasure of using it for a while (especially the panda version) has fallen in love with it and won’t abandon it. Yes, I belong to this group and would like to give you an overview of my experience with the device after spending 100 days with it. HTC U11 review: an actual rival to the Galaxy S8
The HTC U11 is here, and it’s aiming to knock the Samsung Galaxy S8 off the winner’s podium as this year’s best Android smartphone. So, what are the ingredients HTC has used in its recipe for success? Add a strong processor, a new user interface and Edge Sense, then wrap it up into a device with a high-quality design and send it to market. But, is all of this enough to help HTC get to the top?  To help convince you, HTC is offering a $100 discount on the flagship in the lead up to Valentine’s Day. Check our release date and price section for all the details.

It’s been several months since Google has mentioned anything regarding HTC, but fortunately for you fans out there, this doesn’t mean you won’t be seeing new smartphones. The HTC U11 Plus and the HTC U11 Life are being released, each with their own style, and the HTC U11 Life is rather special. Why? We explain all in this review. LG Q6 review: A mid-range phone in an identity crisis
I had the opportunity to use the LG Q6 before it hit the market and have to admit it is a device I was curious to try out. Since I was never able to buy the G6 since its arrival, I sprang to this phone with enthusiasm, although I knew my experience would be somewhat different. I didn’t expect to have such a love-hate relationship with the Q6 that would stop me from ditching it altogether, but at the same time I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either, not with the current state of things in the market. Moto Z2 Play review: A step ahead of the competition
The Moto Z Play was launched in 2016 as a more affordable alternative to the Moto Z, aimed at those looking for long-lasting battery modules. The Moto Z2 Play arrived to the market while maintaining some of the same features, although it has a lower battery capacity compared to the predecessor. In this review I’ll walk you through the time I spent with the device. Moto Z Play review
