500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Moto G6 Play hands-on: a strong competitor
Since the launch of the Moto G4 series in 2016, Motorola hasn’t released any Play versions of its phones, like the Moto G4 Play and the Moto X Play. These devices have become known among users for delivering a longer battery life and good performance for a number of tasks. Moto Play has now returned. Does it still have a place in the market? Apple iPad (2018) review: Still outperforms every Android tablet
Apple has only itself to blame for this: the sixth generation of the iPad is a cheap iPad, or at least cheap by Apple’s standards. You get the sense that it was cheaply produced around almost every corner, and yet Apple has still produced an enormously good tablet with its 2018 edition. We’ll share our insights with you in our review, and we’ll do our best to also offer an Android-friendly perspective. Sony Xperia XZ2: A phenomenal camera that’s poorly implemented
Sony is the world’s largest manufacturer of photo sensors for smartphones. The smartphone you have in your pocket probably even has a camera (or more than one) made by the Japanese manufacturer. As Sony has done in the past, it provides the latest hardware innovations for its top-range devices, but the software isn’t always up to par, which makes it difficult to compare it to the competition. Has this sad story finally come to an end with the Xperia XZ2? Sony Xperia XZ2 hands-on review: An impressive makeover Galaxy S9 and S9+ camera review: Still waiting for the revolution

Sony Xperia XZ2: Benchmarks tell only half the story
As part of our series of reviews on the Sony Xperia XZ2, I also got to test the device’s performance. Needless to say, the new Japanese flagship has done well in every respect, and thanks to the software’s peculiarities, it was one of the smoothest-running devices I’ve ever tested. 100 days with the Razer Phone: the edgy outsider
Harsh, black and kind of spiky, the Razer Phone is that edgy kid at Android High with a year-round black trenchcoat and nail polish look who will never sit at the cool kids table with Apple and Samsung. But that’s cool, Razer’s got its own thing going on. I’ve spent over 100 days with this misfit, and found a lot to love, and a lot that shows that it’s still in its awkward youth. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact: Better in all respects
Along with the Xperia XZ2, Sony is also introducing its little brother, the Xperia XZ2 Compact. The smaller version might again take the place as the best Android smartphone in the compact class, as Sony hasn’t cut it down in any way. Our review of the Xperia XZ2 Compact also shows that Sony has finally improved the quality of the camera and caught up to the competition.
