Thinking of trying a foldable phone but put off by the price? Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE just dropped to its lowest price yet ahead of the Black Friday sale. Here’s why this deal is worth a closer look.
One of the biggest factors that hinders buyers from getting a foldable Galaxy smartphone is the steep price. In Samsung’s case, it introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a budget-friendly alternative to the standard flip model. Even better, the device is now on sale at Amazon, back to its all-time low price of $724 from $959.
That is a saving of $235 or 25% off. The deal applies to the 256 GB variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE in Black. If you prefer less storage, the 128 GB version is listed at $705, which is $194 lower than usual. Given the small price gap, the 256 GB model is clearly the better value.
The Fan Edition Galaxy Z Flip 7 (review) was launched in July this year as a more affordable take on the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung trimmed a few features to bring the price down by about $200. With the current discount, the gap has widened even further.
In terms of hardware, the Fan Edition Samsung flip smartphone is essentially the Galaxy Z Flip 6 from last year. It features a 3.4 inch cover display in a tabbed shape, replacing the larger 4.1 inch edge to edge display found in the standard model. Despite the smaller size, the FE’s cover screen works similarly, allowing you to run widgets or full apps through the Good Luck module.

The main screen is also slightly smaller at 6.7 inches compared to the pricier model, but it offers the same brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate. The difference in screen size is barely noticeable.
Inside, the foldable smartphone uses the Exynos 2400 chipset, which is older. Still, it performs well for everyday tasks and handles demanding loads like gaming with ease. It also supports many of the Galaxy AI features found in its sibling. In terms of software, it receives the same seven years of Android OS updates and security patches.
The Fan Edition flip phone comes with a smaller 4,000 mAh battery compared to the 4,300 mAh in the Flip 7. However, battery life remains solid, lasting a full day with moderate use. Charging speeds are also similar, with 25 watts for wired and 15 watts for wireless.
