If you’re in the market for a new pair of AirPods but don’t want to spend over a Benjamin, the current Singles’ Day sale might be worth checking out. Amazon and Best Buy have dropped the latest entry-level AirPods to a new record-low price of $84, slashing $45 off the usual $129 tag, or a 34% discount.

This is the biggest price cut we’ve seen so far, even beating previous lows. It’s unclear whether the deal will last through the day or extend for a few more, so you might want to act fast if you’re hoping to lock in the savings.

Why the Apple AirPods 4 Are Worth It

The AirPods 4 (review of ANC model) debuted in September last year. They’re more than just a refresh, but rather they’re a meaningful upgrade, making them a solid buy for anyone coming from older AirPods or picking up their first pair of Apple wireless earbuds.

Externally, the AirPods 4 retain the familiar open-fit “hairdryer” design but are slightly more discreet thanks to a shorter stem and reshaped buds. In our review, they fit securely even during workouts. Controls are handled via squeeze gestures on the stem, though volume adjustment still requires the mobile app, which is a feature that’s notably missing.

The AirPods 4 also come with improved ingress protection, now rated IP54. The charging case has been redesigned to be more compact and portable, and it includes a built-in speaker for Find My alerts and audible pairing or charging signals.

The most substantial changes are internal. The AirPods 4 are powered by Apple’s new H2 chip, which delivers better audio with deeper bass and more refined treble. You’ll notice enhanced detail and clarity, plus lower latency. The chip also enables personalized spatial audio with head tracking. One drawback is the still-basic equalizer, which limits audio customization.

Of course, the standard AirPods 4 don’t include active noise cancellation. You’ll need to spend about $50 more for the ANC version. But if you’re fine without it, these earbuds are now a strong recommendation.
