Apple’s MacBook Air was one of the best-selling laptops in the recent major sale. Surprisingly, the deal is still holding up for some variants of the M4 MacBook Air, dropping by as much as $250. This matches the reduction we saw during Black Friday.

For example, the 13‑inch model with 512GB of storage is currently priced at $949, down from $1,199, which is a 21% cut. This applies to the Sky Blue colorway, while the other colors are available at $999, which is still a sizeable discount.

Meanwhile, the base model with 256GB is at its second‑best price of $799, only $50 above the recent record low. You can pick it up in four color options, including the classic Midnight Black and Silver. Regardless of which variant you choose, the savings are substantial.

Why Buy the Apple M4 MacBook Air

Not everyone needs the extra power and brighter display of the MacBook Pro. For casual users, including students, the new M4 MacBook Air (review) is more than enough. It also offers the advantage of a compact, lightweight build for better portability.

The M4 MacBook Air launched in March this year. It is a solid refinement of its predecessor, powered by the more capable M4 chipset. The processor adds more cores and runs at higher speeds, while the GPU introduces ray tracing for smoother graphics, noticeable even in gaming. Memory bandwidth has also been boosted to 120GB/s.

Battery life is another highlight, with up to 18 hours of use. This is longer than most Windows laptops, giving you a full day of work or study without needing to recharge.

Other enhancements include support for two external monitors without closing the lid, boosting productivity. The FaceTime camera now uses a larger 12MP sensor and supports Center Stage. The M4 MacBook Air’s keyboard remains excellent for typing, while the large Force Touch trackpad continues to earn praise for its quality and responsiveness.
