If you dislike bulky desktops or simply want a space saving yet capable machine, Apple’s Mac Mini is one of the best solutions. It is compact but powerful enough to handle demanding tasks. Right now, the M4 Mac Mini is on sale for Black Friday at $479, which is $120 or 20 percent off the usual $599.

The deal applies to the base model with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. If you need more space for files, the 512 GB option is also discounted to $669 from $799, a savings of $130. This is a practical choice since the device cannot be upgraded by the user.

Who is the Apple M4 Mac Mini for?

Like earlier Mac Mini models, the new M4 version (Pro review) is small but packed with strong hardware. This generation brings the biggest redesign in years. Measuring just 5 x 5 x 2 inches, it is nearly half the size of the previous design. It fits on most desks and can even be mounted beneath a table.

Apple also reworked the ports. Two USB C connectors are now positioned at the front, while the back includes more USB C ports with Thunderbolt support, plus HDMI, Ethernet, and power. You can connect up to three monitors, which is a useful upgrade for creators who rely on multiple displays.

The base model runs on the M4 chip, with an option to upgrade to the M4 Pro. The standard configuration features a 10 core CPU and 10 core GPU, delivering faster performance than before and keeping the setup future ready for years. It also introduces ray tracing for smoother gameplay and advanced AI processing. Everyday tasks remain stable and responsive, while Apple Intelligence adds productivity tools such as image generation and Writing Tools.

Despite the performance gains, the M4 Mac Mini is more energy efficient, so it will not drive up electricity bills. It is designed to run continuously without issue.
