The M4 iMac (review) debuted in November last year, but it remains one of the fastest desktop computers available. Powered by the M4 chip and 16 GB of RAM, it is built to stay fast and reliable for years. On‑device AI runs more efficiently, and ray tracing has been added for smoother graphics performance. You can game or edit videos without slowing it down.
Externally, there are no major changes. You still get two versions: a two‑port or a four‑port model. The integrated design looks sleek and minimal, while the 24‑inch Liquid Retina display is one of the best in its class. With 4.5K resolution, it delivers sharp detail, brightness, and rich colors. It does not support ProMotion or higher refresh rates, but you can connect an external monitor if you want smoother output and more screen space.

Other features include a six‑speaker stereo system with support for Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, delivering immersive sound. They’re really powerful, ditching the need to connect external speakers. We also liked that Apple upgraded the webcam in the new iMac, which now integrates a 12 MP sensor and supports Center Stage for automatic adjusting of frame during video calls. In addition to Thunderbolt ports, connectivity is upgraded with Wi‑Fi 6E for greater stability and Bluetooth 5.3.
The Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse are included, saving you from buying them separately.
