OnePlus Nord review: everything is forgiven
A drop in price and all is forgiven? Well yes. The OnePlus Nord launched Tuesday, July 21, from €399 is supposed to mark a new beginning, #newbeginnings. OnePlus is trying to reconcile with its early fans, a little overwhelmed by the race for premium and the price break started with the OnePlus 8/Pro. Everything, from the teasing through to the quality-to-price ratio of the OnePlus Nord exudes apology. And, after having been able to take the phone in hand and then test it, I must admit that all is well and truly forgiven.

Asus ROG Phone 3 review: the most powerful gaming smartphone
The Asus ROG Phone 3 was launched on July 22nd where it was presented as “the most powerful gaming smartphone in the world” by the Taiwanese company. This is a huge promise: whether true or not, it makes little sense in this niche market. The ROG Phone 3 might be the most powerful gaming smartphone to date, where it is also the most mainstream gaming smartphone to be released that is quite unlike its other competitors. This is perhaps its greatest asset.

iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) review: a fast tablet for creatives
If you are looking for a tablet, the iPad is definitely a must as a potential candidate. This is especially true if you want to have access to the widest possible selection of apps and accessories. Should you not want to be shackled by a lack of computing power, then Apple’s latest iPad Pro is one that requires serious consideration. After having it go through a major overhaul in 2018, the fourth generation happens to be mostly model upgrades. I reviewed the 12.9-inch version to see what the new features have to offer and whether the unequivocal “buy” recommendation for those in the creative industry still applies.

An iPad keyboard for $350 – has Apple gone nuts? My Magic Keyboard review of the Magic Keyboard with an iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) shows if and for whom this particular accessory with a “floating” tablet mount complete with trackpad and keyboard capabilities is worth checking out.

Oppo Find X2 Neo review: Premium smartphone that has its shortcomings
With the Find X2 series, Oppo is also bringing its higher-end smartphones to the German market. In addition to the Lite and Pro versions, the Find X2 Neo represents an interesting mixture of above-average features at a reasonable price. For just under €600 ($686.50), this Oppo smartphone comes with a quad-camera setup, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, a Snapdragon 765G chipset, as well as a solid 12 GB of RAM. This means that this handset is well-equipped for handling the upcoming 5G standard. Read on to find out how the Oppo Find X2 Neo fared in its review.

Alcatel 3L (2020) review: The ideal entry-level smartphone
The Alcatel 3L 2020 is the icing on the cake in the manufacturer’s entry-level smartphone range, just like how ice cream tastes even better on a hot, summer day. This is because the phone is only around 30 Dollars more expensive than the Alcatel 1S, which at first glance appears identical, but comes with additional RAM, a better camera and a more powerful processor. In the following review, we will find out if the Alcatel 3L 2020 can tip it in our favour after taking into consideration the shortcomings of the Alcatel 1S with improvements introduced in the Alcatel 3L.

ISO sensitivity and dual ISO in smartphones: Are they important?
ISO 409,600 – that’s what Huawei used to advertise with fervour for the P30 Pro and P40 Pro. At the same time, some professional DSLRs, which are several times more expensive that the handsets, “only” achieve ISO 102,400. So do Huawei’s smartphones deliver four times the performance in night shots? And is ISO sensitivity that important for smartphones? Spoiler alert: No! There may be just one exception.
