500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Hands-on review of the Samsung Galaxy Gear: is it worth the money?
After spending one week with Samsung’s smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear, I was able to answer few burning questions spawned by this controversial wearable: is this really one of the newest pieces of technological innovation on the market or is it just another gadget. Not to be a spoiler, but I feel as if smartwatches still have a ways to go. Here’s why...

Kobo Arc 10 HD test: reeling in readers from the US tablet market
In the hopes of further breaking into the US market, Canadian company Kobo is offering new tablets for the first time in history which boast high caliber technical specifications to line them up with other top tablets on the market. At the 2013 IFA electronic consumer convention in Berlin, I was able to interview Sameer Hasan, the Director of Product Management for the eReader division of Kobo, who gave me a glimpse into the tablet world of Kobo. In the short time I had there, I conducted a test of the new Kobo Arc 10 HD.

LG G2 review: almost everything done right
With the G2 launched, LG has introduced a powerful high-end smartphone that we discussed long before its official presentation. The hardware buttons on the back are a real selling point for LG, and for many consumers. But this bold design decision is not the only thing that makes the G2 special. In my test you can learn everything about the strengths and weaknesses of the new LG flagship model.

Galaxy Note 3 review: powerful, more S-Pen & leather?
Samsung presented the Galaxy Note 3 today and we offer you a first video of the phablet here in our review. It becomes quickly clear that the manufacturer fulfilled its duty in creating a successor to the Note 2 with an even sharper display, better performance and many more stylus functions, or more specifically said, S Pen features. In terms of design, Samsung managed to surprise us, including a new element that is sure not to please all tastes. Take a look yourself in our Galaxy Note 3 review.

[Video Update] Galaxy Gear first test: the next smartwatch flop
Samsung has finally presented their smartwatch offering - the Galaxy Gear - that has had half the tech world thirsting for months. I had the chance to test it already and I have to tell you, right up front, that in terms of the expectations held for the wearable device, unfortunately this thing is a huge disappointment. This over-hyped clock is set to be the next big smartwatch flop.

Xperia Z Ultra hands-on review
Phablets are getting to be all the rage. They’re a bit too big to be a smartphone and a bit too small to be a tablet but they definitely fill a niche that people are itching to get. With their latest iteration of in their Xperia line, Sony has recently released the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and we managed to get our hands on one. Here’s our hands-on review of the device.

Nexus 7 2013 review: introducing the best 7-inch tablet around
The new Nexus 7 is thinner, faster and sharper than the previous generation, along with a new camera, notification LED and a lot of other little fixer-uppers and appealing changes. The new tablet outshines its older version in more ways than one and I can prove it in my test.
