At an event at the IFA 2019 in Berlin, Huami launched its new smartwatch: the Amazfit GTS. It looks a lot like the Apple Watch Series 4, but there is some cool tech in here for the price. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of weeks. Here is my full review.
The connected health market is booming. Wearables and other health-focused connected products are multiplying, and CES 2019 is proof of this. The French brand, Withings, took the opportunity to unveil the very first analog watch capable of recording an electrocardiogram. Apple opened the door to this with its Apple Watch Series 4, but Withings (ex-Nokia) continues and democratizes the concept. Now available in stores, we were able to try it for several weeks and here is our full review.
Connected health is in full swing. After smartwatches landed offering electrocardiogram features, Withings now offers a connected blood pressure monitor. The BPM Core (as they call it) allows you to measure blood pressure, record an electrocardiogram and listen to the sound of your heart. We were able to try it out for about ten days. Here’s what we thought.
During the first Unpacked event in 2019, Samsung not only announced its new flagship smartphones, but also a number of wearable devices. Among these were two new fitness trackers, the Galaxy Fit and Fit-e, stood out. We have been wearing this latter model for several days and are ready to tell you more about it in this full review.
Unveiled during the presentation of the Galaxy S10 before MWC 2019, the Galaxy Watch Active was, along with the Galaxy S10e, one of the positive surprises of the Unpacked event this year. Compact, elegant and sporty, Samsung offers a product that looks great. After several weeks spent with it, it was time for a check-up. Here’s our complete review.
According to new data, the sales of smartwatches are up 51%. The dramatic increase has resulted in a surprising statistic: 16% of adults in the US now own a smartwatch. Is this slow-burning trend finally hotting up?
Smart bands or fitness trackers, call them what you want, are increasingly popular among fitness enthusiasts, both young and old. Their strong point is a simpler and more discreet design compared to smartwatches, but also a much lower price. I tried the Band 4 from Honor and, I have to admit that finding something better than this on the market is not easy.
The new Ticwatch E2 poses a question that keeps coming back to life: is a bird in the hand is really worth two in the bush? There are beautiful smartwatches, some with more features, and some that are probably also more technically modern – but the Ticwatch E2 is cheap, functional and does what it says on the tin.
