500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

OnePlus 9 review: Get the OnePlus 9 Pro instead
The OnePlus 9 I reviewed happens to be the less capable sibling to the OnePlus 9 Pro. It is no surprise, therefore, that it carries a more affordable price tag. The question is, is it more capable when compared to similarly priced offerings such as the Xiaomi Mi 11, the Samsung Galaxy S21, or even the previous generation OnePlus 8 and 8T?

Realme 8 Pro review: The perfect mid-range smartphone
The Realme 8 Pro is the latest smartphone from the Chinese brand and it has hit the market a mere six months after the Realme 7 Pro’s announcement. So much for a year’s gap between releases! The main highlight of this smartphone would be the the108-megapixel camera and 50W SuperDart charging support. The phone was launched in Europe and Asia on Wednesday, 24 March 2021, alongside its sibling, the lower-powered Realme 8. Read on to find out what we think about it in our review.

Has the era of custom ROMs come to an end?
There is a clear picture emerging as far as the software update policy offered by smartphone manufacturers is concerned with Samsung pointing the way forward. But what does this mean for custom ROMs which have long been hailed as the only way we could prolong the life of older devices? Could this be the beginning of the end for custom ROM distributions? That’s our point of discussion in today’s article. Samsung promises four years of security updates for their new smartphones

OnePlus 9 Pro Review: The mature flagship
Aiming for the moon seems to be OnePlus’ motto with the OnePlus 9 Pro. Launched earlier today, on March 23,  2021, this phone is clearly positioned as the no-compromise flagship that aims to further close the gap with other high-end Android competitors. This ‘gap’ was mainly in the camera performance of OnePlus flagships. And that is exactly what Oneplus aims to fix with the OnePlus 9 Pro. Does the company’s newfound partnership with the camera experts at Hasselblad help its cause? Let’s find out!

Xiaomi Mi 11 review: The almost perfect flagship
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first Android smartphone with Snapdragon 888 to be released in Europe. With its fairly conservative price of €799 for a flagship, this places as a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S21. Is the Xiaomi Mi 11 a Galaxy S killer? The verdict is at the end of my full review of the Xiaomi Mi 11 on NextPit.
