AirPods Max: the unjustifiable price of Apple’s headphones is a moot point
“Oh no, another expensive Apple product. Quick, quick, I have to go on Twitter and explain how Apple’s AirPods Max wireless over-ear headphones aren’t worth its exorbitant price of £549.”

AirPods Max: Apple, we need to talk about this expensive bra
After much speculation, Apple today quietly announced the first over-ear headphones with an Apple logo on them. The AirPods Max cost $549/£549 and are thus at the very top of the headphone segment; in the consumer electronics sector, they are certainly even closer to the very top. But can Apple’s headphones stand up to strong competition from Bose, Sony, and Sennheiser?

Huawei Freebuds Studio review: Huawei’s first over-ear headphones
Huawei attempts to take on the likes of Bose, Sony, and Sennheiser and wants to mix up the market of leading over-the-ear headphones with the introduction of its FreeBuds Studio. Soundcore Life Q30 review: solid wireless ANC headphones for less
Affordable audio brand Soundcore is back with a new pair of over-ear ANC headphones that won’t break the bank. The Life series has been praised on NextPit in the past, but how close can the new Life Q30 cans get to the top-end of the market for less than a third of the price of the flagship headphones from Sony and Bose? A lot closer than you’d think…

Huawei FreeBuds Pro review: out of this world performance
My sense of hearing was teased, first with some playful French tunes. The bass levels are deep, while the cacophony of voices rise within me. I feel a slight degree of discomfort, but it could be due to the way the experience was designed with the form factor of Huawei’s latest wireless earbuds. This is because the FreeBuds Pro tend to cause a little bit more of a squeeze in my ear canal than other models. There is a true feeling of musical enjoyment throughout the entire experience. The following song flows evenly, with the feeling of discomfort melting away. From soft sounds to the crystal clear string of a violin crying in the hands of a maestro, the audio range changes dramatically. Through it all, the FreeBuds Pro from Huawei provided me a very balanced and enjoyable listening experience, as though the company had grown up in this department. Read all about it in my review of what I deem to be one of the main competitors to the AirPods Pro that are available on the market at this moment.

Realme Buds Q review: decent tunes for bargain hunters
Chinese manufacturers are currently causing quite a stir across the smartphone market spectrum with a wide array of devices and their corresponding accessories. Take the BBK Group, for example. They are really gaining a foothold with its rising brands such as OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and Realme. The latter is one that targets those who want plenty of value for their money. Hence, it is no surprise that the new Realme Buds Q True Wireless headphones are available at a knock-down price that will surprise many. But at that extremely low price point, is there quality performance to follow up with the amazing price point? This Realme Buds Q review blew me out of my socks.

HomePod Mini: Apple’s Echo competitor costs under $100
Apple’s HomePod was a flop with mainstream consumers if we were to be really honest with ourselves. Apple seems to have finally acknowledged this after many years and earlier today, they have apparently redeemed themselves from their past mistake by introducing a cheaper product. Known as the HomePod Mini, this small and round device costs only a fraction of its big, chunky predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live review: best to date, but not perfect
While they could have gone unnoticed alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Note 20, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live stood out with their innovative bean-shaped design. They are also the first true wireless headphones with ANC from the South Korean manufacturer. Here is my complete review for NextPit.

Jabra Elite 45h review: long battery life can be affordable
Jabra, the price-to-performance champion in the true wireless headphones and earbuds market, has begun refreshing its entry-level range with the Jabra Elite 45h. These tiny on-ear wireless headphones retail for an attractive price point of £89.99, and might come with their fair share of flaws or compromises, but there is one saving grace – an amazing battery life that runs up to 50 hours before requiring a recharge!

LG Tone Free FN6 review: the silent assassin
When it comes to smartphones, LG does seem to miss the mark more frequently than hit the bullseye. Having said that, the consumer electronics giant is unwilling to miss the boat when it comes to mobile accessory trends such as True Wireless headphones. With the LG Tone Free FN6, the company has a very interesting proposition for those who decide to take the plunge. It sports UV-C light-emitting diodes in the charging case that will get to work disinfecting the headphones’ surface area while it is charging, and in theory, that ought to eliminate nasty germs. However, it is still primarily a listening device, so what about its performance, capability, and battery life? In order to find out, I reviewed the LG Tone Free FN6 during the recent lockdown.
