500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

The One Feature That’s Making Me Want to Buy the New Peloton Bike+
After years of testing fitness devices and apps, one thing has become clear to me: working out at home has its perks, but it also comes with one big risk: injuries. Gyms aren’t perfect either, but at least there is usually a coach, a trainer, or that one person who can’t help but correct your form. Studies indicate that most home workout injuries happen because there is no real-time feedback or supervision, especially when beginners repeat the same moves or push too hard. Overuse and bad form are the usual suspects, and when it happens to older adults, the results can be serious. So when I heard about Peloton’s latest attempt to fix home fitness, I wasn’t just curious, I was hopeful.

Compostable Computers? This Could Be the Future of Electronics
To counteract the burgeoning mountains of electronic waste, researchers are turning to a natural raw material: wood. After use, essential parts of an electrical appliance should turn back into soil. A computer mouse is the first example.

5 Reasons: This Is Why Even Bad Music Sounds Better In the Car
There are moments when music seems larger and more impressive than it actually is. A pop song that sounds nice in the living room turns into a small epic in the car. Even mediocrity takes on a shine there. Why is that? The answer lies not only in technology and acoustics, but also in our perception.
