It depends. HTC states that they'll finish it by July-august, then you can add the service provider's test period with bloatware and what not.
Another path could be e.g. rooting the phone and get an XDA mod.

Exactly. So if you can hold out another month or 2 you can get the OTA. If not, rooting is your friend :)
