500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Huawei Band 7 review: Huawei Band 6 redux?
A 1.47-inch AMOLED display, 96 sports modes, permanent SpO2 tracking, and up to 14 days of battery life. The Huawei Band 7 promises all that! And yes, the Huawei Band 6 already offered all of these, but we will tell you whether there are significant differences to its predecessor and more importantly, whether it is worth buying in our review.

Garmin vívosmart 5 review: Can this fitness tracker beat the competition?
An integrated heart rate monitor without an integrated GPS module and having 24-hour blood oxygen measuring capability – the vívosmart 5 looks like an alternative to the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 or the Huawei Band 7 at first glance. However, Garmin’s smartband is considerably more expensive than the alternatives from China with an MSRP of $155. We find out whether the more expensive price tag makes it worth picking up in this practical review!

Xiaomi Smart Band 7 review: The best gets a little bit better
Xiaomi does not do much differently with the Smart Band 7, but some things are better. The price has increased, but the fitness tracker also has some new tricks on board. Read this review to find out whether that is enough to earn a good rating in the NextPit test.

Cyborg overreview: Startup makes me an "ultrahuman"
Ultrahuman calls its customers “cyborgs”, selling them sensors that measure glucose from the interstitial tissue via a small hair-like flexible filament just under the skin on a continuous basis. The readings are supposed to revolutionize the nutrition and fitness industries. NextPit spoke with CEO and founder Mohit Kumar to find out more.

Fitbit Sense review: good smartwatch limited by Premium subscription price
Do you want to get fit for 2022 and are you looking for a universal fitness smartwatch? The Latin name of Fitbit Sense stands for meaning, perception, awareness – sounds like a lot of “mindfulness”. The fitness watch also brings the usual potpourri of sleep and activity tracking with it. Is the Fitbit Sense the ideal all-rounder to get you in shape in 2022, both physically and mentally? Here comes our test. Update, January 14, 2022: Since December 2021, the Daily Readiness Score has been available for the Fitbit Sense, which determines a daily fitness from the current data. We tried the feature and updated the test report for you. You can find all the details about the daily form index in the “Tracking: from heart rate to sport to sleep” section. Spoiler: The new Daily Readiness Score could not change the test score of the Fitbit Sense.

Fitbit Charge 5 review: The fitness tracker that aimed for the sky
The Fitbit Charge 5 was reviewed by NextPit and scored points right away with its (finally!) fresh design. The ECG function and various anti-stress features are also new to the fitness tracker. However, a big point of criticism found in its predecessor, the Charge 4, remains, while a new problem has been added into the mix.

Fitbit Versa 3 review: A great sports smartwatch with a catch
With the Versa 3, Fitbit continues the successful Versa series in a meaningful manner. The smartwatch offers pretty much every fitness tracking feature that you want on your wrist in a compact and lightweight form factor in addition to excellent battery life. Unlike its predecessor, GPS connectivity is also included with this bad boy. However: One problem presists – in addition to one or two new ones showing up.
