500: maintenance mode

Greetings from the Engine Room!

Sorry, but there's really nothing to see here right now. Our server is in maintenance mode – and our little bot is trying to sort the error messages with its last bit of energy.

Whether it was a data leak, a power outage in the cluster, or just a grumpy bit – we don't know yet. But what we do know is:

The data drama escalated into a server meltdown. But don't worry: We're on it.

What now?

  • Everything is surely running smoothly over at our colleagues from inside digital – why not stop by!
  • Or you could pass the time by visiting our social media channels – for example Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. At least there are no server problems there – promised.

Thanks for your patience. Our bot is already rebooting at full speed. 🔧

Be Warned: Nintendo Can Now Brick Your Console at Will
Nintendo is known for many things. Some are good, and others may appear downright evil at times. One issue that the company has repeatedly taken a tough stance on is the modification and piracy of its games and consoles. Now, an update to Nintendo’s EULA allows the company to brick your entire system at will.

Rethinking Microtransactions: A Necessary Evil in Modern Gaming
We gamers can usually agree on one thing: We hate microtransactions. And why wouldn’t we? Microtransactions are one of those things that are just too easy to hate. They epitomize everything that’s wrong with modern gaming. And we have the bad, greedy companies to blame for it, right? But is it really their fault, or are microtransactions a problem that we created ourselves? The day that thousands of gamers decided to spend money on a set of horse armor is when microtransactions, as we now know them, were born, and now we have to live with that.

Why Atomfall Captivated Me: A Journey Through The Quarantine Zone
Over the weekend, I had the chance to really dive deep into the world of Atomfall. I had the opportunity to look at the game before receiving my key for the full version, so I didn’t expect too many surprises. And yet, somehow, this game still managed to capture my attention in a whole new way. The most interesting part about this? Something that I didn’t particularly like when I first played the game ended up being one of the best parts about it.
