500: Wartungsmodus

Was jetzt?

Huami Amazfit T-Rex review: the affordable military smartwatch
The T-Rex outdoor smartwatch first launched back at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020) in Las Vegas, and becomes the 7th series of Amazfit smartwatch. The growing brand – Huami is most famous for making the Mi Band fitness trackers – has built this one for extreme conditions and challenging terrains such as deserts, mountains, or freezing conditions. The battery life claims are bold, and the price attractive, so I decided to check it out.

Motorola Edge review: back under the spotlight
Sometimes things do not turn out the way we thought it would. This happens to be the case with Motorola – because some have seen the once-mighty US brand slide down the smartphone pecking order, although the Razr relaunch did allow the US brand to show some bite for the first time under the Lenovo umbrella. Now, the Motorola Edge series intends to build on the back of that momentum, showing how Motorola is still capable of building conventional smartphones that can compete with flagship models from other manufacturers, such as the OnePlus 8 or Huawei P40.

Realme 6 review: the cheapest 90 Hz display you can buy
Realme does a lot of things right with its smartphones with a simple philosophy: delivering value-for-money smartphones. Since May 7, you have been able to treat yourself to the Pro version of the Realme 6 series for just under €350 ($380). If you are working with a tighter budget, then you can always settle for the more affordable Realme 6. In my review, I looked at whether the money saved is worth your while.

Honor Magic Earbuds review: punchy but not peaceful
Launched at one of the last physical tech events of the year, at what was supposed to be the Mobile World Congress, the Honor Magic Earbuds enter a busy market of true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation. So how do the AirPod-style headphones stack up against the competition? I’ve been wearing them to find out.

VanMoof S3 review: believe the hype
VanMoof launched its latest e-bike last month, the Electrified S3. It features the same Dutch design as the S2, but there’s a new gear system, new app features, and a new lower price tag! I’ve been riding the VanMoof S3 for a week, and can tell you this is still the slickest city cruiser on the roads today.

Wiko View 4 review: long battery life is just the tip of the iceberg
Picking an entry-level smartphone for under 200 bucks is a prudent affair. Whether it is because you are limited by a tight budget, or it is simply a personal lifestyle choice, doing so would require you to go through a number of options from various brands within this price segment. It gets more interesting as you delve into the various functions and capabilities available on smartphones at such affordable prices without all the marketing fluff. This is how we approached the Wiko View 4 throughout the entire duration of our review. Without much further ado, here’s what we think of the Wiko View 4.

Huawei P40 Pro review: brilliant hardware, confusing software
Huawei’s P series has always stood for superb smartphone photography and elegant design. This year’s model, the P40 Pro, is once again very impressive in terms of hardware. But using it in everyday life shows that Huawei is still in its infancy in terms of software and ecosystem.

The Motorola Moto G8 is a consistently good mid-range smartphone
Not the G8 Plus, nor the G8 Power and also not the G8 Power Lite: just the plain old Moto G8. Motorola has made the most out of this brand line extensively in the course of its eight-year history, but at the end of it, there is still one true, core product. And that finally surfaces again by ruling the mid-range smartphone roost in the form of the Moto G8.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus review: a flagship that ticks all the right boxes
A little bit of something but not quite everything: the Samsung Galaxy S20+ or S20 Plus was released in early March this year and happens to reside as the intermediate model within Samsung’s latest flagship range. The younger of the high-end siblings happen to pack in less than the somewhat excessive Galaxy S20 Ultra model. While it does carry almost all the same specifications as that found in the more ‘basic’ Galaxy S20, which happens to be the best model among all three according to my colleague David, this one comes in a larger form factor, accompanied by a more solid chassis and an additional camera sensor. Did Samsung hit the nail on the head by striking the correct balance? The answer lies in our comprehensive review.

BlackPods Pro review: fool me once, shame on you
Not least because of various YouTubers publishing rave reviews, fake AirPods enjoy great popularity. These so-called BlackPods Pro cost a fraction of the original Apple headphones, but how close to they come to the real thing? Let’s find out.
